Warranty on Installation
The installation is covered by a 10-year warranty on workmanship, provided normal conditions are met and no tampering occurs.
1. Quotations & Deposits
[1.1] All quotations are valid for 14 days.
[1.2] Once the non-refundable deposit is paid and the client decides to change the film, the job price and deposit may be adjusted accordingly. The client will be required to pay the revised deposit amount before proceeding with installation of the new film.
2. Site Preparation
[2.1] A clean and dust-free site is required. If dust, debris, or unresolved structural issues prevent installation, the appointment may be rescheduled. Additional visits due to unresolved site conditions may incur a minimum call-out fee.
[2.2] No existing film should require removal unless removal has been charged.
[2.3] All silicone work must be completed at least 24 hours prior to installation.
[2.4] Furniture, fittings, computers, and personal items must be moved to allow clear and reasonable access.
[2.5] Pets must be kept away from the work area during installation.
3. Installation Quality & Expectations
While every effort is made to ensure a high-quality installation, the following are normal characteristics of professional window tinting and do not constitute defects:
[3.1] Small gaps of 1–2 mm at film edges are standard industry practice to allow cutting clearance and prevent water trapping.
[3.2] For external applications, minor dust particles may occur due to the open-air environment. All edges will be sealed with silicone or edge-sealing tape.
[3.3] Wooden window frames may release dust even after cleaning due to the porous nature of timber. This is a material characteristic, not an installation defect.
4. Working Hours
[4.1] Working hours are 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.
[4.2] Out-of-hours work may incur additional charges and is subject to availability.
5. Communication & Appointment Confirmation
[5.1] You may receive text messages or calls for appointment confirmations, reminders, invoices, receipts, and any cancellation or rescheduling notifications.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
[6.1] A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is appreciated for cancellations or rescheduling.
[6.2] If cancellation occurs on-site without a valid reason, or in the case of a no-show, a minimum call-out fee of $550 (incl. GST) applies.
[6.3] If a panel is damaged, broken, or inaccessible, a $550 (incl. GST) call-out fee applies.
[6.4] If access cannot be gained on the scheduled day, a $550 (incl. GST) call-out fee applies.
[6.5] Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance incur no charge.
[6.6] Cancellations made 12 hours or less before the appointment, or on the day, incur a charge of $330 (incl. GST).
7. Film Removal and Liability
[7.1] When removing existing film, all care will be taken; however, we are not responsible for any glass breakages that may occur.
8. Film Drying Time
Drying times vary based on film type and sun exposure. Residual moisture between the film and glass is normal.
[8.1] Security films: 2–6 weeks
[8.2] Residential & Commercial films: 1–3 weeks
9. Risk and Liability in Film Application
We take all care during application and removal; however, we are not liable for:
[9.1] Glass cracking or damage due to thermal stress, particularly with laminated glass.
10. Defects After Installation
[10.1] Any defects (e.g., bubbles or creases) must be reported within 7 days of installation. Issues reported within this period will be rectified. After 7 days, replacement may be required and is not covered under the 10-year workmanship warranty.
By proceeding with payment and installation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
